ADOPTION DAY FESTIVAL

On Saturday, November 17, Catholic Charities hosted its first-annual Adoption Celebration Day at Seville Park in Pensacola.
The day served to promote adoption education and awareness and to celebrate families created through foster care and adoption.
The event, which was open to the public, included representation by local crisis pregnancy centers, Foster Families of America, and adoption attorney, Melissa Posey. Families had the opportunity to mingle with other adoptive families, ask questions, and listen to an amazing personal testimony offered by Meri Azmar, who is an adult adoptee.
With delicious concessions and live music from the local band, Jerry’s Kids, the day was quite a success! Best of all, the children had a wonderful time—face painting, a cake walk, bounce houses, an inflatable slide, book give-aways…what a way to celebrate!
The adoption program of Catholic Charities would like to thank all of the individuals who volunteered their time and resources to this event and sincerely hopes to celebrate with you all again next year during November’s National Adoption Awareness Month!
