Changing Lives through Counseling ServicesThursday June 14, 2007, Pensacola A middle-aged female who had presented with depression and high anxiety with panic symptoms, had relocated to this area to be with family due to becoming incapacitated from the previously mentioned symptoms. These symptoms were to the extreme that she could no longer continue in her full-time employment and continue in her other normal daily activities. She was filled with worries and fears that something terrible was going to happen to her or to her loved ones, and would not leave the house alone. With counseling and a referral for a psychiatric evaluation for medication, soon she was able to get out and drive herself, became involved in a church community, and even did some volunteer work. She was finally able to start looking at life with optimism again, rather than with fear and dread. She said she was not even feeling anxious over the upcoming move with her family members. She was hoping, upon relocating, to seek some part-time employment again. |
