Congressman Jeff Miller announced at the Starfish Gala that Families Count and Catholic Charities were to receive the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Grant. The purpose of the
SSVF Program is to provide supportive services grants to private
non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives who will provide
supportive services to very low-income veteran families who are residing in permanent housing. Congressman Miller stated that, “I am proud that Catholic Charities has received the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Supportive Services for Families Grant to continue the wonderful work they do on a daily basis to meet the
needs of our veterans in the Northwest Florida. I know without
a doubt that they will make us proud and continue to make an
impact on the lives of our local heroes.”
We welcome Luke Armstrong,Case Manager and Robert Johnson (RJ), Screener to our Fort Walton Beach offices. Both are 20 year veterans who understand first hand the transition the soldier
must make to civilian life and the impact on their families.
