Emmanuel, Robert
Attorney at Emmanuel, Sheppard & Condon in Pensacola. Robert’s father Patrick Emmanuel was one of the original founding Board members for Catholic Charities in 1966. Robert has served in various Regional and Diocesan Board capacities over the last decade, most recently serving as a Diocesan Board member in 2006. Member of Sacred Heart Hospital Advisory Board.

May, D. Bruce
Mr. May has been a member of the Diocesan Board since 2001 and its President of the Board since 2005. He served the Regional Board in Tallahassee since 1995. He is an attorney and the managing partner of Holland and Knight Law firm in Tallahassee, FL. He is a member of Blessed Sacrament.

Remke, Andy
Mr. Remke joined the Diocese of Catholic Charities Board in mid 2007 and is the current Chairperson for the Finance and Audit Committees. He has resided in Pensacola since 1988. Mr. Remke retired in 2000 from Baptist Healthcare, having served 13 years as their Senior Vice President and CFO. He returned to the workforce joining Landrum Companies, a HR outsourcing company, as Vice President and CFO. He received his BA in Accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace in Parma, Ohio. He was awarded Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is active on the Boards of Directors for Covenant Hospice, WSRE Public TV, YMCA of Greater Pensacola and Alzheimer’s Family Services. He is a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and also frequently attends services at St. Thomas More.

Bell, Honor
Recently Honor Bell received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his commitment to volunteer service and by this he also became a USA Freedom Corps Greeter, a program the president started in 2002 to honor local volunteers wherever he visits. He is the founder of 12 volunteer programs in the area, including Hands On Pensacola and the Hope Center for Teens. He is a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Pensacola, FL.

Neubauer, Margaret
Born September 26, 1954, Shreveport, Louisiana to an Air Force family of eight, she has enjoyed the benefits of being raised on or near military installations throughout the U.S. and abroad. The community of Panama City-Bay County, Florida and Tyndall Air Force Base became the final assignment and permanent home for her family in 1972, where Margaret attended Florida State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology. In 1976 she married Thomas S. Neubauer, also from an Air Force family of seven.
In 1977, Tom founded ERA Neubauer Real Estate, Inc. Margaret has worked with Tom to grow the company into a leading real estate brokerage firm based in Panama City, Florida, also involved in real estate management and development. She is a licensed real estate broker and has earned the Certified Relocation Professional designation from the Employee Relocation Council for her work with relocating families. She and her family enjoy involvement in nearly every facet of community life. Margaret has served on or chaired a variety of community boards and organizations. She currently serves on the Bay County Economic Development Alliance, Bay Arts Alliance, Finance Chairman for St. Dominic Catholic Church and Chair for Catholic Charities in Panama City.
Tom and Margaret have three children, including twins, Brian (30) graduate of University of Florida, Lori (28), graduate of Florida State University, and Alan (28) graduate of University of North Florida. She and Tom enjoy travel, boating, and community work.

Guidry, Mike
I&M Support Specialist at AT&T and a lifelong Catholic and last 29 Years as active member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Pensacola. Five years as Director of Religious Education (1984-1989), six years serving as Head of Shut-in Ministry (1984-1990) and from 1990 to present serving on the altar as Liturgical Assistant. Member of Deacon Formation from 1993-1999, receiving Liturgical Installations for Lector and Acolyte. Accepted Candidacy and Call to Orders for the Diaconate from Bishop Keith Symons. Member of Catholic Charities Board of Directors from 2003-Present.Board member for the Damien House Foundation of Chicago, IL from 2000-Present, whose goals are to help patients of Hansen’s Disease (leprosy) particularly in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Keefe, Larry
Attorney with Anchors Smith Grimsley in Ft. Walton Beach. Graduate of UF School of Law, Larry grew up in the Ft. Walton Beach area and his current law practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, insurance claims, real estate, construction and employment law litigation. Larry is an active member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he serves on the Administrative Board.

Catalano Smith, Tara
Chaired the Fund Development and Gala Committee for Panama City this year and is a devout Catholic and dedicated volunteer.

Bunker, Candace
Candace is currently employed at Citizens Property Insurance Corp. as a Legislative Affairs Coordinator. She has spent the last 5 years very involved at her parish St. Thomas More in Tallahassee as a Catechist and RCIA member and sponsor. She is deeply involved with the state’s legislative process over the last 15 years and is a strong advocate for social justice.

Knee, Dale
President & CEO of Covenant Hospice.
Dale has been a healthcare administrator for over 36 years, 16 of which have been with the hospice movement. He holds a BS degree in Hospital Administration & a Masters in Health Services Administration from The George Washington University, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Health Care Administration. Dale has served as Director of Administration for two acute care hospitals, owned his own healthcare development and consulting company, served as vice president of a national company operating free standing ambulatory care centers, and was vice president for an international healthcare consulting firm. Dale is a retired naval officer and last served as the Secretary of the Navy’s Director of Health Affairs. Dale has served as President and CEO for Covenant Hospice and its affiliated Foundation since 1993, headquartered in Pensacola, Florida. He is also one of the managing partners of the Studer Covenant Alliance, LLC. Dale has been an Adjunct Professor of Healthcare Administration and Policy and an Adjunct in the School of Public Health for the University of West Florida since 1994, and is a founding member of the UWF Center for Aging Studies.
Covenant Hospice, a not-for-profit organization, serves over 1,200 patients a day in 35 counties throughout northwest Florida and southern Alabama. They operate 14 Branch Offices, a 12-bed freestanding Hospice Inpatient facility, a 16-bed Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Center within an acute care hospital, and two Community Support Centers. Covenant & the Studer Group jointly operate the Studer Covenant Alliance, LLC, providing leadership training, development, and consultative services for organizations specializing in end-of-life care. Covenant is also the parent company for Alzheimer’s Family Services, Inc., an organization that serves Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and their caregivers throughout northwest Florida.
Dale, his wife Teri, and their two sons live in Gulf Breeze, Florida. They are members of St. Ann Catholic Church in that community.

O’Neil, Maureen
Early Childhood Education, Associate Professor, Tallahassee Community College
Dr. O’Neil is originally from Connecticut. She has a Doctorate from the School of Education at Boston University and has taught Early Childhood Education students at Tallahassee Community College for four years. Formerly the Assistant Director of a large non-profit agency, she had the opportunity to supervise the design, curriculum development and certification of a new child care center for children who have witnessed violence. Dr. O’Neil lives in Tallahassee with her husband and two children, ages 15 and 17, and is President of the Tallahassee Catholic Charities Board of Directors. Dr. O’Neil enjoys Irish music and dance, and in her free time she volunteers with her teenage daughter and early childhood education students, to teach music and movement classes for children at HOPE Community, a transitional housing program for homeless families.

Carter, Jane
Jane was born in Magnolia, Alabama. She has two children, a son and a daughter, both live in the Fort Walton Beach and Navarre areas. Her son/daughter-in-law attends St. Peter Parish. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile. Alabama and attended college at Troy State University, Faulkner University, and the University of Alabama. Earned a bachelor in Business, Human Resources and attended the Masters program in Audiology at the University of Alabama. She graduated from college Magna cum Laude. Some of her post graduate work was done at Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama and she began working on her MBA at Our Lady of the Lake in SanAntonio, Texas. Her career has been in the field of health care i.e., pediatrics, orthopedics, general medicine and nephrology. For the past 16 years, she has been involved in the field of nephrology in the capacity of management/clinical of kidney dialysis clinics in Alabama, Texas and Georgia. She traveled extensively in the U.S. representing Fresenius Medical Care which is a Germany based company and also the largest manufacturer and providers of dialysis in the world. As a Senior Manager with the responsibility of management of 32+ dialysis clinics in the Southwest Region as well as the South Atlantic Region she was promoted to Director of Managed Care for the Eastern United States. She negotiated Managed Care Contracts with insurance companies for the delivery of dialysis in 210 dialysis clinics. She was then transferred to Atlanta. Moving to Atlanta from Texas she also assumed the management of the FMC dialysis clinics in the Atlanta metropolitan area .This involved the responsibility of negotiating hospital acute care contracts for the delivery of acute dialysis to hospital in patients, as well as out patient clinics. She retired from Fresenius Medical Care in 2004 and moved to Navarre, where she lives with my pet, a Yorkshire terrier named Pepper. She enjoys traveling and will be going to Israel for my second visit shortly. Her professional affiliations are: National Renal Administrators Association, American Audiology Association, Private Pilot Association, College Honor Society, Alliance Francais, and Past President of ACA. She is a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Navarre, Fl. She is the Director of Volunteers at St. Peter Catholic Church in Navarre, Fla. Treasurer of the Curia for the Legion of Mary, President of the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. and serves as Recorder for the Parish Council at St. Peter as well as several other ministries.
